To join Northallerton ASC please complete the application form below.

Let us know your name, date of birth and previous swimming experience/ability, together with your address, contact ‘phone number and name of the person emailing!

We will then contact you to arrange time for a trial swim. Trial swims are typically held on a Sunday evening at Northallerton Leisure Centre. On arrival head to the poolside viewing area and speak to any committee member or coach. Your child will be asked to swim 4 lengths of the pool at Northalerton (25m) and then continue for the rest of the hour with the Junior Otters/Junior squad. A member of the coaching team will speak to you after the session and follow up with an email confirming next steps.

As a rough guide we take children who:

have completed Stage 5 in swimming lessons
can swim 25m front crawl, back crawl and breaststroke
are able to demonstrate a basic butterfly technique

This will enable you to see if competitive swimming training is for you, and for our coach to place you in the correct squad! Should you wish to complete your trial at Bedale Leisure Centre then please also let us know!
