Winter County Championships (Junior) – coaching report

Last weekend saw the Yorkshire County Winter short course competition continue at the John Charles Centre in Leeds.  This time it was the junior swimmers aged between 9 and 12 who got to compete.
Having already done the fantastic job of gaining the necessary qualifying times at previous galas and time trials, this was the chance for our Northallerton swimmers to compete against the best in Yorkshire.
And it goes without saying that Eleanor, Alexandra, Finley W, Owen, Dylan and Thomas did NASC proud.  With PBs falling in virtually every swim it showed the hard work in training was really paying off.  It was great to see the swimmers having fun, taking in the experience and trying their absolute best in every race.
Also well done to qualifiers Alyssa and Amaya who unfortunately couldn’t swim this weekend.  I know that all the swimmers have their eye on the qualifying times for the County champs in February next year and we hope to see even more of you joining them.  Well done swimmers, keep up the good work!
